Youth-based, eco-conscious organization selects MSI as primary partner in exposing today’s youth to the green movement

CITY OF INDUSTRY, CA – September 09, 2009 –MSI, a world-wide leading manufacturer of computer components and systems, is excited to have been selected as the Featured Computer Sponsor for Billie Jean King’s GreenSlam GreenTernship Program. The mission of the GreenTernship Program is to provide today’s youth with Green Collar job training while providing the opportunity to gain hands on experience learning from top ranked green companies, organizations and individual leaders dedicated to the eco sports movement.
Gary Brown, a senior at Harlem Renaissance High School, and Contessa Gayles, a senior
at Columbia University have been selected as the program’s inaugural GreenTerns.
Both Brown and Gayles will receive an educational stipend and will be working with
leading green professionals in a program designed in conjunction with Green Spaces.
Green Spaces, a New York-Colorado based organization providing green entrepreneurs
with workspace, business services and networking channels, will be responsible for
managing and overseeing the project curriculum and the GreenTerns.
